Análises críticas acerca da história das religiões apontam para o fato de a violência ser, ao contrário do que se costuma pensar, um dos valores inscrustrados em suas pregações - principalmente no que toca a intolerância às crenças alheias, mesmo que de forma implícita. Seguindo essa linha de raciocínio, costuma-se dizer que a grande culpada pelas atrocidades cometidas pelo homem, visualizadas nas Cruzadas, por exemplo, e nos ataques terroristas da atualidade é a religião. Porém, o que se pode observar é que a religião quase nunca foi sujeito e sim objeto, um veículo de condução das vontades do homem.
As Cruzadas, episódio histórico cujo suposto objetivo era libertar Jerusalém dos turcos otomanos seldjúcidas, os quais haviam proibido as peregrinações cristãs ao lugar, ocultava a possibilidade de enriquecimento através daquele lugar, o que conduziu vários nobres em crise financeira a aderir ao movimento. Como resultado: surpresa! As relações comerciais Ocidente-Oriente se intensificaram e o renascimento urbano-comercial se deu. Mais uma vez, valores religiosos submetidos aos interesses econômicos de homens "em nome da fé".
Na edição especial da revista Veja sobre o mundo pós Bin Laden, lê-se: "Inicialmente, o Corão permitia que pessoas de outras religiões professassem sua fé em paz e proibia os muçulmanos de convertê-las à força (...) Com o passar do tempo e com a ascensão do fundamentalismo islâmico, essa ordem foi sendo reinterpretada (...)". E é neste último ponto, a reinterpretação, que reside a origem da maior parte dos problemas que se observam permeando a religião.
No contexto do Talibã, reprimir era um modo de evitar que a religião se esvaísse. A religião é feita de dogma, aquilo que não pode ser contestado. Não havendo contestação, o que acontece? Prolongava-se sua duração no poder.
O mesmo vale para a "luta contra o Imperialismo Ocidental", usando como justificativa o fato de a Guerra Santa ser um valor do Corão. A vontade humana vem como o maior fator explicativo das atrocidades observadas pelo terrorismo "em nome de Deus" na contemporaneidade; a vontade de subjugar a mulher; a vontade de enriquecer, matando; a vontade de apropriar-se do poder, justificando que esse quadro é a vontade divina - um traço de Absolutismo ainda observável na atualidade, vide os governos teocráticos hoje existentes.
Critic analysis about the religion history signs that the violence is part of it as one if its principles, it does not mind if it happens implicitly. It is remarkable when the issue is intolerance. Following this reasoning, it is common to say that the religion ist the big guilty of so many atrocities did by the man as the Crusades, for example, and the recent terrorist attacks, as 9/11. But something can be observed is that Religion has never been the subject of the history. It has been an object; a vehicle to conduct people to materialize human wills.
The Crusades, a historic episode which supposed objective was set Jerusalem free of Seljudic Turkish, a people that had prohibited Christian pilgrimages to that place, hided the possibility of getting richer through what Jerusalem could offer. That made a big number of aristocrats in finance problems had given support to the "Faith Cause". Guess what happened: the economic relations between West and East had raised expressively and the urban and commercial reborn had been generated. One more time, religious values were submitted to human economic interests in behalf of the "faith".
In a special edition of Veja magazine about the world post Bin Laden, it can be read: "on the beggining, the Koran, allowed people from other religions to normally do their rituals and prohibited muslims of forcing someone to become a muslim (...) The has passed and the Islamic Fundamentalism rising, this was reinterpretated (...)". That´s the key point that generated a big range of problems and savageries that involves religion.
In the Taliban context, to repress was a way of avoiding the religion had been affected or changed. The way it was established, it was structured in a dogmatic system, a kind of system the contestation cannot exist. When there is no contestation, what happens? The power is maintained the way it is. It was convenient to Taliban members.
The same logic can be applied to the battle againt the "West Imperialism", using as justification that it is value deffended by the Koran, the Jihad. However, the Homo sapiens desire is surely more influent in order to explain the monstruosity observed in terrorism "in behalf of God"; the wish of submitting the woman; the wish of getting power, it does not mind if killing is "necessary" to achieve it and the wish of appropriating of the power, claiming that is God wish - a sign of Absolutism observed in teocratic governments, nowadays.
